Now that California has legalized, it’s all about the permit.  As it stands right now about 140 dispensaries currently are permitted to operate within the city of Los Angeles. However, if you don’t have a permit the local officials and authorities are going to deliver a leg drop.

Since the inception of legalization in January 2018, local law-enforcement have seized over 6000 pounds of cannabis by focusing on and identifying illegal business entities within LA. So far there are 36 criminal cases with 140 defendants that have been associated with 32 illegal shops along with the delivery service. Cease-and-desist letters have been sent to more than 1000 illegal shops, so you can bet there will be more of these to come. Unless of course, they just close up shop. Even though the defendants are facing misdemeanor charges they could all be looking at maximum of six months in jail and thousands of dollars up in smoke for fines.

Come on guys… You’ve obviously been there for a minute. Just get the permit and license like you do with any other business. I need a license to sell widgets, I need a license to go fishing, I need a license to drive a car, and you need a license to sell pot legally!  If you’re going to do it, do it right. Otherwise you’ll be dropkicked…
