West Warwick pastor indicted on marijuana charges

Its a damn shame the cowards that exploited him won’t have to stand with him.  The music stopped and the pastor had no chair, because his seat was pulled away. -UA

West Warwick pastor indicted on marijuana charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The pastor of a West Warwick parish was indicted Wednesday on federal charges of conspiracy and cultivating more than 100 marijuana plants in his church.

Erick Johansson, 48, an ordained minister for Prospect Ministries Inc., was arrested in September after the West Warwick police executed a search warrant at his church. The police seized 183 marijuana plants in several grow rooms, $565 and other supplies and items used to grow marijuana. Officers also discovered an extensive duct system to deliver heat and release carbon dioxide.

Johansson faces anywhere from 5 to 40 years in prison. He remains free on $30,000 unsecured bond.
