Once upon a time there were a bunch of little girls from Girl Scouts selling cookies outside of a department store. Suddenly a forrest green cargo van rolled up blasting Paranoid by Black Sabbath.
The side door opened and a huge cloud, imported from Mexico, oozed from the van. It was 1/2 horror film and 1/2 Cheech and Chong movie.
People began exiting the van. One by one, they all looked like they either crawled out from under a table at a local bar or should have been in an 80’s heavy metal video. Then the last guy gets out.
6ft 8in tall, about 375lbs, with hair frizzy and long. Black leather jacket with Metallica patches all over the back. Oh, and let’s not forget the spikes. The mothers looked horrified as he approached. Almost like they were going to grab the kids and run.
He kneels down so he can talk to the smallest scout and asks, “Got any Samoas?”
The little girl nodded in silence.
“Cool. We’ll take all of ‘em.”
”All of them?” Asked one of the moms.
”Yup.” He replied, and then bought them all and the strangers left as strangely and quickly as they had arrived.
The big guy was me in like 92 or 93. My appearance has changed since then, but that story comes to mind every single time someone says Girl Scout Cookies. This also became the name of a popular cannabis strain which originated in CA from crossing the strains of OG KUSH and DURBAN POISON. Now-a-days in CT it’s better known as CGS. AKA Purple, produced by Curaleaf.
Present day Girl Scout Cookies by Curaleaf has an awesome look, taste, and feel. The blossoms glitter, almost looking like a cold frost on top of purple nuggets surrounded in fiery red hairs. I was looking forward to charring the flower. The embers released an earthy yet floral type flavor on the intake and very VERY sweet on the exhaust. Excellent flavors which delivered both cerebral and physical sensations as an end result. Very relaxing and euphoric. Awesome Hybrid.
