Massachusetts To Kick Off Legal Sales on Tuesday

On Tuesday November 20, 2018 the state of Massachusetts will be selling legal Cannabis for adult use. No medical card needed, one just needs to be over 21 years of age in order to make a purchase.

Two stores will be starting recreational sales on Tuesday in Massachusetts. Believe me, there are more in the pipeline. But out of the gate to start will be New England Treatment Access (NETA), located at 118 Conz St Northampton, will open their doors beginning at 8am and will remain open until 10pm. The second store is Cultivate Holdings located at 1764 Main St. Leicester which will also be open at 8am on Tuesday; though their normal business hours will be 10am to 8pm. I guess everyone wants an early start for opening day.

But, of course, there are always rules to play by:

1. It is illegal to use Cannabis while driving.
2. Like alcohol, no open containers in the passenger area of a car while on the road or at a place where the public has access.
3. No public consumption.
4. A consumer (21 or older) can purchase up to one ounce of Cannabis or five grams of Cannabis concentrate. These are the possession limits for the state of Massachusetts.
5. It is against the law to carry Cannabis across state lines or federal borders.

Otherwise, have fun.

Recreational Cannabis is also currently available in the states of Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, California and Nevada with Maine expected to open sometime next year.
